3 Letters

Song Info

Watch life through the window covered in rain

My window pain

It’s soaking

Then onto the bed

Turn on the world

Fantasy real

But it's broken

Phone rings, Curt sings

But I can't hear it

I don't fight

Lose a life, I'm nowhere near it

So happy

But sadly there's the table

3 letters for my name

Guns, football and lines

My fastest time is in the night

Because I cheated

School days are through nothing to do

I'm going home, ready for a beating

Computer games.  Being 13 years old, how glorious those days of playing games until the small hours, going to sleep, waking up the next day to go straight back to it.  ‘Curt sings’, is a reference to my music of choice whilst playing games, Curt Smith from Tears for Fears, so loud, I couldn’t hear the phone ring - someone ringing to find out if I wanted to go out into the real world with real people.

‘3 letters’ - that’s how many letters you get on a high score table
